Setting the scene - 

I was invited to travel to Sri Lanka with a friend and his family. What an adventure it was! While there we visited a local orphanage and took them some presents. The most popular of these was the volley ball! At the time I was just taking snaps because I could. But in reflection there is more too it.

Deeper Meaning - 

This collection of images helps me focus on appreciation and gratitude for what we have. Those individuals there have been given a hard hand by life. They slept on matts on the floor. Shared a room with lots of others. I didn't find out why they were individually there, but I'm glad they could go somewhere. I feel humbled that I was able to give them a gift, to make them smile, to maybe cheer them up a little. Gratitude.
