Thursday Post - 'Humane meat' myths!!

When speaking to animal eaters, instead of them accepting that eating dead animals is horrific and inhumane, or the other countless reasons not to eat dead animals, I am quite often strung the line of 'Yea, but I buy humane meat, cage-free, grass-fed, local, organic etc, they have a good life'.

Its still horrific and its still inhumane. No ifs, no buts!!

Lets put them in the scenario that farmed animals are. They are forced to live in slavery in a large fenced off area, lets call it a farm.  Their fed organic feed too. They live like this for only 2 years. Then someone impregnates them if they're female and steals their child, then takes their milk, or kills them because someone wants a jacket, or a snack.

Then is that humane meat, cage-free, grass-fed, local, organic etc? Its time to wake up.


What if it was them that was in the place of the animals?
