This isn’t me pointing fingers, just telling the truth as I used to love some and eat others; basically I was biased to ‘MY’ pets.
There are many reasons to stop eating animals and we as humans in the ‘developed’ world have a choice to eat plants instead. There is a really useful website for those wanting to try vegan in January, https://veganuary.com/
Or if your not ready for that there are other stepping stones,
Chickatarian/Steakatarian/Pescatarian – Only eat one type of meat, i.e. fish
Vegetarian – Eat no animal flesh, but do eat dairy and eggs
Flexatarian - Mostly vegetarian, occasional meat meal
Please don’t be like I used to,
Lazytarian – Feel its wrong to kill and abuse animals, but too lazy to change
